Johang the Flareon
Many people's fursonas have different names, but the reason mine is the same.. is because I lowkey wasn't creative enough to think of a different name to go by online. So, guess my legal name it is... although, some friends refer to me as just "Flareon".
I was thinking of Saff because of the Saffron Mango color being pretty close to his fur, but I gotta think about it a bit more before I really decide on something.
If it seems simple and semi-uncreative, I suppose I could say that's the point. I'm not one of great creativity nor of high interest, so, basing him on an existing design & not modifying it too much (with really flashy fur, etc.) is really the path of least resistance.
The story behind the fur color is essentially: the flareon on my chatbox had a really light fur color and another streamer told me they liked that color pallete, even if I didn't use it for myself. So I decided to do something in the middle. The mane and tail aren't completely yellow like the original colors, opting for more of a cream color. The rest of the fur is a bit lighter, but still quite orange.. since I like the color orange :3
The eyes are purple and orange because those are my favorite colors. No real deeper meaning.And they glow, since I always imagined flareons having glowing eyes.
His size is just the standard Pokédex entry and estimated length based on it, with his tail being around the same size as his body, because I like big bushy tails.
I did end up doing the whole "signature move" thing, after that same streamer asked me what it was. Since I sleep so much, I just said "rest" and decided to make it a thing. I was told you cannot chain rests in the actual game, but I don't really care, so I can chain them. Peak 'sona writing, i know. Standard fire moves for the other moves, yada yada.
His favorite type of wood to eat is Alder, nothing too intense. Flareons, in my head canon, eat wood for a lot of their calories, since fire takes a lot of energy. That's probably why they are pretty eepy creatures too.
My pronouns are He/It. Gender is weird, I don't really understand how society genders things for female and others for males, I just do/get/wear whatever I want. Biologically, I am a male, therefore He is my primary pronoun. I decided to add a secondary pronoun of It, because of my general confusion with gender & since I am a furry. It & They share a lot in common, therefore, if you were to address me as They, go ahead.
This is my understanding of pronouns, there's no real rule to pronouns. So just call refer to others how they want to be referred and that's that. You can have your own explanation for pronouns, and that's completely fine. His pronouns are the same as mine, since, he is just a different version of me.
He is fluffy btw, it's just drawn by me and less detailed since.. its a reference.
